FALL QUARTER 2024
THEATRE REVUE
The Theatre Revue is a chance for our talented members to showcase their skills! Students are encouraged to audition with a song, monologue, scene, dance, etc. that matches this year’s theme. From there, they will be assigned a director and workshop their piece for several weeks before finally performing it in a cabaret style show for everyone to come see!
MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP
Do you miss learning 4-part harmony and big ensemble dances? Do you love to perform as part of a group as well as solo? Then this is the workshop for you! We will be learning a song and dance, then doing an informal performance with lights and sound!
MOVIE NIGHT
This social event is a chance to come hang out with fun people and watch a movie in our Blackbox theatre! Super fun. Super lowkey. Super excited to see you there!
NEW THIS YEAR!
Everyone is invited for a night of roasting s’mores and hot-dogs at our first-ever Students’ Stage bonfire! Bring a blanket and a buddy out to Grover Beach, and get ready for an evening filled with laughter, sand, and of course- show-tunes!
WINTER QUARTER 2025
THE 24-HOUR SHOW
The 24-Hour Show is a classic Students’ Stage event with a new twist! Over the course of 24 hours, we’ll cast, write, tech, and perform a one-act jukebox musical. This event is super crazy, chaotic, and fun! (Nobody is required to be there for the full 24-hours, we show up in segments)
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
We are planning a trip down to PCPA on Sunday, February 16th, to watch their matinee of Much Ado About Nothing. We also have been invited to attend a talk-back with the director, Andy Philpot, at 12:30pm just before the show. We have a limited amount of free tickets available, so it will be first come first serve. We hope to see you there!
MURDER MYSTERY NIGHT
Join us for this interactive performance/game! You get to embody a character and attempt to solve the mystery from the clues you’ve been given! If you love improv, and deductive reasoning (think CLUE), then definitely show up!
SPRING QUARTER 2025
THE MISCAST GALA
And our final performance event, the spring Miscast Gala is back! This show is always a big hit, and it’s another chance to sing for us! Perform a role that you would not typically be cast in, and work with our amazing directors and tech team to put together this show.
AUDITION/RESUME WORKSHOP
Throughout this year, we at Students’ Stage have fielded many questions about audition preparedness, resumés, theater careers, and more! We hope to shed some more light on the tricky topic of auditioning, building a resumé, and possibly a technical/design portfolio!
LIP SYNC BATTLE
We are bringing back the Lip-Sync battle this year as a fun way for friends to compete and flex their creative lip-sync skills! Groups will come together and compete in two songs, either both live or one live, one video submission.
